Gia Giudice Shares Her "Hopes for the Future" for Her Career and Family

Gia Giudice has big dreams. In the clip above, The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter shares her plans to become a lawyer and a fashion designer someday. But Gia also has a dream that’s closer to home: She wants her dad, Joe Giudice, to visit his family in New Jersey. This would mean a change in Joe’s immigration status.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/9c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

After serving 41 months in prison for fraud, Joe was deported to Italy in 2019. He later moved to the Bahamas to be closer to his family. Since Joe is legally barred from entering the United States, his family must travel to the Bahamas to spend time with him. Naturally, this presents some logistical hurdles.

“We have such a big family, and no matter what the situation is, gathering all of us to go visit him [is hard],” Gia recently told Page Six“Even though he did move to the Bahamas for us, for him to be closer, for the flight to be easier… plane tickets are still crazy expensive, and especially when everybody has off around the holidays [and] the airlines jump the prices up.”

She continued: “It is hard for everybody to see him, rather than just one person being able to come here, like during holidays or birthdays, would just be like a dream come true.” Now, Gia is taking steps to make that dream a reality.

The aspiring lawyer told Page Six that her major “goal” is to help Joe have his immigration status reconsidered. “I just feel like that if that whole aspect of it can get reevaluated, that maybe he could have a chance of coming back temporarily here and there,” she said.

Last month, Gia announced that she had landed an internship at Martinez Immigration. Gia told Page Six that the virtual law firm had initially contacted her dad, expressing an interest in his case. “They were interested in possibly, potentially looking at his case again — just in the future, if they would be able to do anything for him,” she shared. “I was like, ‘Honestly, Dad, yeah. Like, this could be amazing.”

In the meantime, Gia is learning more about her area of interest. “It’s been so cool, like, just seeing other immigration cases that are completely different than what my father’s [was] and just the situations that these people have been put through,” the college senior said.

Gia was inspired to pursue a legal career after witnessing her parents’ legal battles. Back in 2021, she said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, “[My parents’] whole experience influenced me, honestly, for the better. I just want to help families and be able to be there for families and help children.”
