Melissa Gorga Reveals Why It Was “Petty” for Teresa Giudice to Hold a Grudge Against Her Mom
Plus, hear Melissa’s thoughts on her mom and sisters’ alleged “anti-Teresa” posts, which led to her not being invited to the wedding.
Teresa Giudice and Luis “Louie” Ruelas’ wedding is once again at the center of a dispute on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. This time, the drama has to do with Melissa Gorga’s mom, Donna Marco, not receiving an invitation.
Melissa was upset to discover the snub, but as fans may recall, she never broached the subject with Teresa. Instead, Joe Gorga confronted Louie, and Teresa got involved from there, making sure to share the reason she didn’t want Donna Marco or Melissa’s sisters at her wedding.
“What happened was, 10 years ago, I got busy, and I guess they got jealous, and Melissa’s mother and sisters were writing stuff about me on social media,” Teresa explained. “And, you know, my mother would never write about anybody on social media, so I always just kept my distance after that. You know, I respected them. I’m the type, I’ll forgive but I’ll never forget.”
Melissa, however, sees things differently. She revealed as much during Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on April 11 after she was asked by a viewer, “Why were you so upset about your mom and sisters not being invited to the wedding and saying they’ve been nothing but kind to her when we’ve all seen the tweets, likes, posts, etc. of them being anti-Teresa over the years?”
“First of all, there was a couple tweets back in the day,” Melissa replied. “They were probably from 13 years ago, and they weren’t that bad if you read what they said.”
She also believes that those in Teresa’s inner circle have made similar social media posts, as she added, “Between telling my husband that I would leave him for a richer man, that I was a stripper, meeting my friends behind my back… If you saw what her hairdressers and all her people — because she doesn’t have sisters — tweeted about me, trust me, it’s very bad as well.”
Regardless of the social media posts’ content, Melissa concluded that it’s “petty” to hold something against a person for that long. “What does that have to do with now?” she said of her mom’s and sister’s posts. “We’ve had so many years since then together — like moments, vacations, birthdays — [so] why are we mad now? It’s most likely looking for a reason to get mad and to be upset and to make me look bad and to make my family look bad.”
