Luis “Louie” Ruelas Gives an Update on His Career Following the RHONJ Season 12 Reunion
Teresa Giudice’s fiancé reveals whether he has started a new job since stepping down from his company.
There’s been a lot of chatter surrounding Teresa Giudice’s fiancé, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, and what the women have heard about him in Season 12 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. And during Part 3 of the reunion, which aired on May 17, we learned just how big an impact some of those rumors have had on his life.
As the significant others joined the New Jersey Housewives on the reunion set, Louie revealed that all the headlines about him have been detrimental to his career. “Teresa didn’t want me to say this, but they let me go from my company from all the negative stuff that came up in the press because of my exes out there,” he said of the company that he actually started. “Yeah, they called me up and said, you know, you have to step down. That really sucked.”
However, Louie said he doesn’t “have any bad feelings towards anyone” after losing his job. “So I just want to move forward in a peaceful manner,” he shared.
When Louie appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on May 17, along with the other men of RHONJ, he shared that he has not started a new job since resigning from his company. But he still had a positive attitude about the situation. “It’s good,” he told Andy Cohen. “All good.”
Earlier on WWHL, a member of the virtual audience asked Louie and Joe Benigno if they think Teresa and Margaret Josephs will ever be friends again following the drama of RHONJ Season 12. “I think it’s possible. Both girls have to come together, and they have to have a like mind,” Joe said. “I like Louie, I think Louie likes me, we get along. So if the girls can get along, fine.”
Louie was similarly optimistic about Teresa and Margaret mending fences. “They’re two strong women,” he said. “So they just got to get together and just kind of settle their differences.”
Joe added of this season of RHONJ, “It was a heated time.”
Things still appeared to be tense between Teresa and Margaret as the Season 12 reunion wound down. However, Margaret and Louie left on a good note as she shared her sincerest apology, which he accepted. “Louie, I am very sorry for all your negativity. I really feel horrible for you, and I know you’re working on yourself and you’ve done an amazing job,” she said. “I really want good things for you.”
When The Daily Dish caught up with Teresa on the red carpet of NBCUniversal's upfront earlier this week, she reflected on all the conflict surrounding Louie on this season of RHONJ. “I felt horrible for him, I really did,” she said. “It was tough, and I felt bad for him. I wasn’t trying to hide anything or anything like that. I was just trying to protect him, like, as best as I knew how, because I never had to deal with anything like this before.”
Teresa also shared how she and Louie plan to handle any drama moving forward. “He’s so smart. He speaks so eloquently. From now on, I’m going to make him speak,” she said. “I’m never going to stop him. I was just trying to protect him. That’s all I was trying to do.”
RHONJ is streaming on Peacock.
