Bethenny Frankel Reveals Her “Favorite Turtle Time,” and It’s Not What You’d Expect
The Real Housewives of New York City alum on how life has changed for her with her 12-year-old daughter since her “last chapter.”
Bethenny Frankel recently took a trip to St. Barths with her 12-year-old daughter, Bryn Hoppy. While she was there, The Real Housewives of New York City alum reflected on her “favorite Turtle Time.” And it’s clear that the phrase has a whole new meaning for her these days.
For the uninitiated, “Turtle Time” is a Ramona Singer–coined term. In a 2011 blog post, Ramona defined the iconic Bravo phrase as such: “It means cutting loose, having some Pinot Grigio and even dancing. Who doesn’t like to dance and have fun?” she asked. Fair point.
But these days, Bethenny cuts loose in a different way. In a March 31 Instagram post, the Skinnygirl mogul shared a carousel of photos that showed her and Bryn on their tropical spring getaway. The photos showed the mother-daughter duo hitting the beach together, posing for sweet pics, and yes, there was even a photo of an actual turtle in the mix.
“So …. while Turtle Time in my last chapter was a blast, this is my favorite Turtle Time,” Bethenny captioned her post. “I’ve made significant changes in my business and personal life to improve my emotional, physical, and spiritual [well-being] and I’m really happy. I’m doing it all my way and I do have that balance, which is the true meaning of success. I am very grateful to this little girl, to myself for never settling and staying true to myself, and to you for coming with me on this adventure. I learn more than you know from you every day, and it grows deeper with time.”
In another Instagram share, Bethenny shared more moments from the sunny vacation. “Feeling LOVED and blessed for this trip and these memories with my peanut,” she wrote. “Cherishing our time together, our amazing sea glass connection, and bellies filled with French flan! Merci Beaucoup St Barths!”
During the getaway, Bethenny showed off her and Bryn’s chic spring break style.
In a March 30 Instagram post, Bethenny shared a carousel of images that captured her and Bryn’s breezy tropical style. In the first image, the Skinnygirl mogul stands in front of a sea of palm trees. She wears a chic patchwork top with a matching skirt. The next photo shows off Bethenny’s swim style, which features a swimsuit with a sexy side cutout.
In one sweet photo, Bryn and Bethenny hold up their drinks for a smiley toast. Bryn is wearing a hot pink swimsuit, a cute floral cover-up, and layered necklaces flecked with golden stars.
In another photo, the RHONY alum wears a ruffled sundress with a crisscross neckline, sequins, and a split hem. She accessorized her look with an iridescent beach bag and a Rolex Rainbow watch. Meanwhile, Bryn opted for denim cutoffs and a white handkerchief top that couldn’t be cuter.
In the caption, Bethenny wrote, “Spring break is definitely not broken so it doesn’t need fixing.” She has a point! It’s clear that Turtle Time looks good on Bethenny on Bryn.
