Leah McSweeney Shared Something About Julia Fox That Left Andy Cohen Saying "Wow"
RHONY's Leah McSweeney also clarified why she mentioned being Julia Fox’s AA sponsor.
In 2022, the name on everybody's lips has been Julia Fox. From her high-profile fling with Kanye West to the way she says Uncut Gems to, well, just existing, she has permeated the zeitgeist with no shortage of headlines. She is, as the kids say, the moment.
And she was also a topic of discussion when The Real Housewives of New York City's Leah McSweeney dropped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on April 5.
Leah and Julia, as it turns out, have a unique relationship with each other. Previously, in an interview with The Morning Toast podcast last month, via Page Six, Leah shared how she was Julia's "sponsor in AA years ago," and she added that, even after, they "just stayed friends." This brings us back to Leah's appearance on WWHL this week, when a fan asked, "Why did you mention that you were Julia Fox's sponsor when it's supposed to be anonymous?"
Leah offered up an explanation. "So glad I can clear this up, because, actually, I was on her podcast first, and she's the one who said, 'Leah, can I tell everyone how I know you?'" And I said yes. And she said, 'You were my sponsor,'" Leah shared in the Clubhouse, referring to a November appearance on Julia's Forbidden Fruits podcast. "So I was just repeating the story. Because, of course, I would never do that."
