How Candiace Dillard Bassett Really Feels About Robyn Dixon’s Speaker Callout
Candiace explained why she “didn’t appreciate” the RHOP moment, and she shared an update on where things stand now with Robyn.
Candiace Dillard Bassett didn’t need a speaker to get this message across loud and clear.
On the December 4 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the songstress shared why she got annoyed when Robyn Dixon brought out a speaker during the final dinner of The Real Housewives of Potomac cast trip to Miami.
Those who tuned in to “Ambush in Paradise” saw the moment when Robyn dropped the speaker on the table and when she started to play audio from an Instagram Live that Candiace had done a few days earlier.
“None of these bitches are real,” Candiace said on the livestream. “They’re all fake. No one’s loyal… F--k these hoes.”
Though Candiace shared in an interview that she did mean everything she said on the Instagram Live, she noted that she was “shocked” that Robyn was the one to bring up the audio at dinner. After all, she said, she thought Robyn had her back — and she reiterated that sentiment on WWHL.
“I said it in the episode,” Candiace explained when host Andy Cohen asked why the speaker seemed to “bother her so much” in Miami. “It felt like an ambush. It felt like my friend was trying to shame me in front of the group, and if she really had a problem with it, she could have just asked me about it. But she wanted to be a moment, and I didn’t appreciate my friend trying to have a moment with me.”
Candiace thought Robyn was her pal at the time. She even said that she didn’t say anything negative about Robyn or her businesses on the social media livestream. However, things have since changed.
“Well, we were [good]…” Candiace continued on WWHL. “I thought Robyn was the most loyal.”
The “Insecure” singer also shared why she thought Robyn and Gizelle Bryant were being hypocritical on the trip. You can check out what Candiace had to say about the Reasonably Shady podcast hosts in the video above.
