Meredith Marks Suggests Lisa Barlow Needs “Help” as Feud Continues
The fallout from Lisa’s Season 2 hot-mic moment isn’t finished.
Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow’s once-strong friendship has yet to recover from that hot-mic moment on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 2. However, this sneak peek of Wednesday’s upcoming episode shows that the pair is at least willing to try to talk out their issues.
Whitney Rose is the one to prompt the conversation, telling her fellow cast members, “We have to put everything on the table… It’s not worth it to hold it in.”
She also encourages Meredith and Lisa to be “vulnerable,” but as Meredith responds, “If you want to know the truth, I think all my problems last year stem because I did make my self vulnerable. You feel like you open up and you get slapped in the face for it.”
Lisa takes the opportunity to once again apologize for what she said during the hot-mic moment, insisting that her words were “hyperbolic.” (Although in a confessional, Lisa insists she was telling the “truth” at the time.)
“I don’t think those things. I was very hurt,” she adds. “And I said things that I regret, and I regret my poor choice of words.”
Meredith isn’t satisfied with the apology though, and instead condemns what she calls Lisa’s “venom and hatred.”
“The things you said, I’ve never confided in you, Lisa, because I never fully trusted you,” Meredith continues. “And now I know why.”
That’s not to say she doesn’t want to reconcile—it’s just going to take a lot of work. “If you are able to be accountable and you want to move forward, your behavior is not acceptable. That one day was not an aberration. There have been other instances of you speaking very poorly about me,” Meredith tells Lisa. “If you think that this is normal behavior and you don’t want to get help and make changes, then there is no more I can do for you. If you think that you should be getting some help, I’m happy to help you.”
Meredith doesn’t specify what sort of help she means, but Lisa is nonetheless upset over it, responding, “I don’t like you commenting on my mental stability and health.”
