Lisa Barlow’s RHOSLC Performance Is Now Real Housewives Canon
Where does Lisa Barlow’s choir audition song rank? Take a look back at these other Bravo performances to find out.
We love that. Let’s face it, Lisa Barlow’s rendition of “Away in a Manger,” featured on the November 9 episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, was elegant, iconic, and instantly classic. (She also just redefined the term hot mic, if you ask us.)
Maybe Heather Gay wasn’t expecting her to show up at her choir auditions, but we’re sure glad she did since it gave us the chance to groove to Lisa’s lovely take on the classic song. In fact, don’t @ us, but we’re already declaring it Real Housewives canon, officially.
While Lisa recently joked that her album is “coming soon” (though if she were serious we’d definitely listen to it while sipping Vida Tequila), she is just the latest Real Housewife in the musical history of The Real Housewives to hit the Bravo airwaves.
While so many Housewives before her have released music for the masses, no one on RHOSLC has yet to try a career in pop music (though, yes, Heather does get some points for making her dream of starting a choir come true).
But the bar is high for music released by Bravolebs. Everyone from Melissa Gorga to Luann de Lesseps to Kim Zolciak-Biermann (to name a few) has dipped a toe in the cool waters of the music industry (in fact, this video rounds up some of those memorable performances).
And we were recently reminded of just how playlist-worthy the music created by Bravolebs and Real Housewives can be during BravoCon 2022 when Andy Cohen brought several musically inclined Bravo pop stars onto the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen stage and had us all dancing in our living rooms. You can relive that medley at the top of this post.
Watch The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City on Bravo Wednesdays at 9/8c and the next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.
