Candiace Dillard Bassett Shares an Update on Where She Stands with Porsha Williams
Plus, the RHUGT cast member reveals where she stands with RHOP’s Robyn Dixon today.
If you’ve been watching Season 3 of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip on Peacock, you’ve seen the shade and tension between The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Porsha Williams and The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Candiace Dillard Bassett. Given their issues on the trip, some fans might be wondering how they were able to put it all aside and get to a place where Porsha would eventually invite Candiace to her November wedding to Simon Guobadia.
Well, now we know. When Candiace appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on April 16, she explained all, sharing that they were ultimately able to move on because they “didn’t really have big issues.” She said that whatever issues they did have, they “talked about it. We kind of got over it — and beyond that, I’m a vibes person and Porsha’s a fun vibe.”
Both Candiace and Porsha have addressed the ups and downs they experienced with each other. In an interview with ET at the start of Season 3 of RHUGT, Porsha noted, “She didn’t surprise me, ’cause she was who she was, but I ended up kind of having this roller coaster situation with [Candiace].”
“I think we just misjudged one another,” Candiace separately told E! News around that time. “I’m a vibes person — like, we be vibin’ — and when I got in her presence, she’s, like, a really sweet woman. I think she’s misunderstood, much like yours truly. And we were able to kind of figure it out.”
Speaking of Bravo friendships… Candiace is joined by RHOP’s Gizelle Bryant on this season of RHUGT, and during Candiace’s appearance in the WWHL Clubhouse on Sunday, she addressed if she’s recently spoken to Gizelle’s BFF, Robyn Dixon. Her response? “I have not spoken to her.”
And in case you were wondering how Robyn is feeling these days, she recently posted a new selfie to Instagram sporting a T-shirt that reads, “Please don’t try me today.” She captioned the photo, “Been a while, just saying hi.”
