Rihanna Photoshopped Queen Elizabeth's Head onto Her Body and People Are Livid
Even the singer's own mother complained.
Rihanna chose to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 91st birthday in a unique way this weekend when she started photoshopping the royal head on her own body.
Most people would fall to the ground crying in hysterical joy if Rihanna included them in her photos, even if — especially if—she chopped them up into a pop star Frankenstein. It’s hard to know what the Queen actually thought about these pics or if she is even aware of them, but lots of people in the comments were pretty pissed about it.
“Pretty damn disrespectful. Why don't you use Trump?” and, “Stop. You're trashy and the queen is classy,” are just a few examples from those angered by Elizabeth’s new look.
In at least one picture, Rihanna was willing to listen to criticism. In the caption of a picture of the Queen on top of her Gucci bodysuit, Rihanna initially wrote, “Cause u f*** like a [grandma] f***, u just a amateur.” The words reference a song by Gucci Mane, and apparently Rihanna’s own mom thought she was going too far. According to US Weekly, she edited it to read, “UPDATE: Mumz said she won't too happy bout this post so I had to edit *insert appropriate Gucci Mane lyrics here*”
Rihanna does have some connection to the royal family, having met Prince Harry in Barbados last year. We wonder what he thinks of all this?
Still, Rihanna remains undaunted, posting one last pic of the Queen early on Monday in purple sunglasses, captioned, “haters will say it's photoshop.”
Looks real to us.
