Riley Burruss Celebrates Her Graduation and Gets Ready for College in the Fall
"NYU, here I come," said The Real Housewives of Atlanta daughter.
Riley Burruss is officially a high school graduate! Back in May, The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Kandi Burruss congratulated her daughter on what would have been her graduation day, but was postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. On July 26, Riley finally got to rock a cap and gown (and a gorgeous Fendi dress) to celebrate the accomplishment with her family.
“So blessed to have received an amazing education, and special thanks to my amazing mom who is the reason I will be going to my dream school,” Riley wrote in the caption of an Instagram post in which she’s proudly showing off her new diploma. “Wishing all other members of the class of 2020 the best during such a hard time. NYU here I come.”
Riley also shared a beautiful family photo with Kandi, Todd Tucker, her adorable little siblings, Ace and Blaze, and her grandmother, Mama Joyce.
According to NYU’s plans for the 2020-2021 school year, “remote instruction will continue through the summer,” and “NYU will reconvene on campus for fall 2020.” Undergraduate students are expected to move in between August 29 and September 1, and will be required to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
Riley was accepted to NYU in December, when she explained that it was her first-choice school. “I mean, it was the only school I really even wanted to go too. I only even thought of applying to other schools as backup plans. That was the only school in my mind,” she said. “So just to see that I got in and it’s for sure and I can just go and be on my path, I’m very excited.”
