Riley Burruss Is Taking After Her Mother and Releasing a Song
Get the scoop on the #RHOA daughter's new music.
Like mother, like daughter. Riley Burruss is taking up the family business and releasing music, Kandi Burruss confirmed on Instagram. The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom shared the exciting news along with a snippet of Riley's track, "Better Late Than Never," and the lyrics seem inspired by a strained relationship in her life.
On the R&B-influenced track, Riley sings about forgiving someone after they've hurt you. "I built up a brick wall. It'll be hard to tear down. Better late than never is what they say. So I guess I forgive you, even though you missed my birthday," she sings on the song, which officially drops Sunday. "I'm forgiving you even though you hurt me. I'm forgiving you, but you don't deserve it."
As fans saw this season on RHOA, Riley's dad, Russell "Block" Spencer, has been trying to reconnect with his daughter after a period of estrangement, and they have been spending more time together recently. Kandi shared with The Daily Dish earlier this season that she wouldn't stand between Riley and Block having a relationship. "At the end of the day he is her father, and if he chooses that he wants to make another attempt that he wants to be in her life, of course, we have to have that conversation," she said.
