Following a serious car accident earlier this week, Savannah Chrisley is opening up about the incident in her first televised interview since it all took place. With her dad, Todd Chrisley, by her side, the Chrisley Knows Best teen shared how she's feeling after the accident which took place on Monday.

"You know there have been days that I've felt better, but I'm here and that's all that matters," she told E! News. Savannah first confirmed the incident took place on Instagram, revealing that she drove into a guardrail after taking her eyes off the road to fix a floor mat that had gotten stuck under her pedal. She suffered a broken vertebra in the accident.

Speaking to E! News, she revealed that "[the recovery will] be a good six weeks. This whole experience has been very scary for me," she said. "It's put a lot of things into perspective and it's made me realize things I need more focus on."

Todd added that the family is now focused on her recovery. "Right now we're gonna focus on getting her neck to where she can support it," he said.
