Mercedes "MJ" Javid on Beginning Her IVF Journey: "It's Just Not an Easy Road"
Is the Shahs of Sunset newlywed ready to be a mom?
Mercedes "MJ" Javid has put her baby plans into action. Fans saw MJ have a discussion about the next steps on the road to motherhood with her fertility doctor in Thursday night's episode of Shahs of Sunset. She has since revealed that she has undergone IVF and is ready to transfer an embryo during an interview on Radio Andy's Jeff Lewis Live in July.
MJ opened up more about where she and husband Tommy Feight are at with their baby plans during an interview with The Daily Dish last week. "We have frozen eggs, we have made embryos, and we're preparing for, hopefully, God willing, fingers crossed, a transfer," she said. "So maybe six months from now or so, we'll be able to say that we're pregnant. Right now, I'm not pregnant."
IVF has been a difficult and painful process for MJ. "It's just not an easy road. There's just a lot of bumps [in the road] and a lot of unexpected things. The side effects of the meds are really awful. They make you moody and they bloat you and migraines and all sorts of awful things," MJ shared. "But it's worth it in the end."
MJ said "it doesn't matter" whether she has a boy or a girl, but she is very specific about her ideal number of kids and timeline for expanding her family. "Two for me would be great. Same age, though. I want them to be very close in age," she said. "Like, get pregnant, get over postpartum, have another baby right away."
Since MJ has been very open about her desire to start a family on Shahs of Sunset over the years, it should come as no surprise that she's ready now more than ever for her little one to finally arrive. "I'm very, very ready to be a mom," she shared. "I'm very much looking forward to being pregnant and all the morning sickness or whatever comes with it, all the good or the bad."
MJ and Tommy definitely have a lovely pad to bring their baby home to. Go inside the amazing abode, below.
