We Now Know What Upset Shannon Beador So Much During The RHOC Jamaica Trip
"You just f--ing hit a nerve in me right now," Shannon said during Part 3 of the RHOC Season 13 reunion.
The Real Housewives of Orange County trip to Jamaica not only provided some of the funniest moments of the season, but also some of the most dramatic. The latter was definitely the case when a conversation about Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge's friendship at dinner caused Shannon to momentarily seek some space from the group. And then when they were reunited, things quickly escalated into a heated conversation in which the ladies expressed their concern for Shannon.
We had never seen Shannon get upset quite like this before in her five seasons on RHOC, so it was definitely surprising. Part 3 of the RHOC reunion shed some light on what may have really pushed Shannon to her breaking point.
Shannon explained why she had such a negative reaction to the ladies' suggestion that she get some help to deal with going through a divorce. She said that she felt like she was hearing them say, "You can't handle your life. Look at you. You're a mess. And you need help."
Tamra asked Shannon if those were things she had been told during her marriage, and she confirmed she heard comments like that "all the time." Shannon then suddenly burst into tears. "My god, and I'm not trying to make excuses. You just f---ing hit a nerve in me right now," she shared. "It's what he said all the time. It just hit me."
This was something Shannon had never shared with Tamra. As Shannon described the kinds of things she had been told throughout her 17-year-marriage, Tamra said it gave her "chills." "It just, like, rung a bell, just like that," Tamra said later on in the reunion. "She's never said that to me, ever."
Shannon shared at the end of the reunion that her biggest regret of the season was "the way that I acted towards every single person here" during the Jamaica trip. "Who would've thought, before Jamaica, I would have said getting in a jacuzzi with Spanx," she said. "But today, it is losing my s--t in Jamaica."
