Shep Rose Raising Money for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Honor of His Friend with Cancer
The Southern Charm star is raising awareness for a cause that "touches many of us."
Shep Rose has taken to Instagram to open up about a personal matter regarding one of his close friends, Joshua, who is battling lymphoma after being diagnosed three years ago. The Southern Charm star is using his platform to show his support for his friend, and also raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in his honor.
The cause is especially personal for Shep as he has lost two family members to the disease previously, and has another friend who battled it and "is a survivor."
"Big flashback to simpler times with close buddies at the Bluffton Sandbar. I’ve known My Friend @punkeeshadaddy [Joshua] for 22 years. He was diagnosed with lymphoma 3 years ago, got married a few months ago in Charleston (scroll for picture with he and his brother), but is now on a ventilator fighting for his life," Shep shared.
He added, "I know this is a really hard time for all. But I’m trying to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. My uncle Dexter and and Aunt Sally fell victim to leukemia years ago so this is in honor of them as well. Good friend @danimalkrackers is a survivor. So it touches many of us. Josh’s very recent predicament shows me that cancer doesn’t pause for COVID-19. All the best to everyone."
