Shereé Whitfield Has a Powerful Response to That Emotional Moment with Ex Bob Whitfield
The Georgia Peaches lent their support to the #RHOA author after she opened up about her domestic issues.
Shereé Whitfield is one of the strongest women we know. But The Real Housewives of Atlanta author showed her vulnerable side like never before during Sunday night's episode.
As the RHOA ladies soaked up the sun in Hawaii along with their significant others and exes, Shereé and her ex-husband, Bob Whitfield, shared an emotional and raw moment as they discussed past domestic issues in their relationship. Shereé broke down into tears as Bob didn't seem to show remorse for his actions.
Cynthia Bailey said that she had never before seen that side of Bob during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday night. "I've only seen the fun Bob with jokes, so I was very shocked to see him make some of the statements that he was," she told Andy Cohen. "My heart broke for Shereé, honestly."
Miss Lawrence, who RHOA fans may remember as Shereé's hairstylist from way back when and who is currently part of the cast of the FOX drama Star, was similarly saddened by the situation. "You know what's surprising is that Shereé would actually entertain him and talk to him," he said on WWHL. "After what he said about her [in] that van, as a feminist, I don't take [lightly] to men being disrespectful or abusive to women. I think it shows them as being very insecure and disgusting. I think it's a very unfortunate situation."
Though Kenya Moore has had her fair share of drama with Shereé in the past, she consoled her during the episode and later lent her support on social media. "No matter what @IamSheree & I go through is petty BS," Kenya tweeted, which was retweeted by Shereé.
"#no woman should be hit by a man. #notfunny #noexcuse4abuse this made me so mad."
As for Shereé, she didn't say much on the subject as she did a bit of live tweeting and posting on Instagram during Sunday night's episode. But she did share a photo of herself with Phaedra Parks before that moment in the van, or "the calm before the storm," as she put it on Instagram.
Shereé also shared a selfie, and its caption with the phrases "And still I rise" and "#ThisTooShallPass" spoke volumes.
