Shereé Whitfield Says the Unveiling of Chateau Shereé Was "Empowering"
The #RHOA homeowner breaks down her beloved mansion and its "hint of old Hollywood" vibe.
It's the moment the world — and Kenya Moore — had long been waiting for when Shereé Whitfield welcomed her friends into her home, Chateau Shereé, for the first time during Sunday's The Real Housewives of Atlanta finale. And no matter what kind of shade Kenya tried to throw at the unfinished basement, Shereé is more than proud of the work she put into the palatial Atlanta mansion, which clocks in at 10,000 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 7.5 baths.
"As long as it took me, at the end of the day I accomplished it by myself," Shereé told The Daily Dish. "I bought that home by myself. I did not have to have a man help me financially and that's empowering and that's good for my girls to see that."
As for the aesthetic of the finished product, Shereé shared, "It's contemporary. Kind of contemporary, but with a hint of old Hollywood glamour. I put a lot of time, effort, and definitely labor into the house and it shows."
The home certainly has Kim Zolciak-Biermann's seal of approval. Kim was at that now unforgettable housewarming party and can't believe how impressive the pad really is. "It’s beautiful. It’s super beautiful. She’s in a really great lot. She has a really great lot in the heart of Bankhead. It’s in a really great lot. It was beautiful. It was super beautiful," Kim told us. "I pulled up and there was a spotlight when I got off the highway, off the exit. I saw this big spotlight, and Kroy’s like, 'I bet you that’s Shereé’s house.' And we start giggling about it, like laughing about it, and sure as s***, it was Shereé’s house. It was funny, but it’s really, really beautiful. It’s huge."
Next up, Shereé will join the rest of the RHOA ladies for the four-part Season 9 reunion, kicking off April 16. Preview, below.
