We kid you not: Sonja Morgan is about to add another hyphen to her already (heavily hyphenated) job title. In the clip above, Bethenny Frankel pointed out that The Real Housewives of New York City pal already has quite a few irons in the fire — or, as it were, in the toaster oven.
While reading Sonja's dating profile aloud, Bethenny recited: "Profession: toaster oven chef and special appearance personality and lifestyle expert, model/actress... event producer, publicist, entertainer... international fashion/lifestyle brand, film producer." And now, Sonja can add "comedian" to that list.
According to Page Six, the RHONY pal is about to try her hand at stand-up comedy. Sonja will perform at Improv Asylum in Chelsea on November 30, and she told reporters that Andy Cohen had a hand in inspiring her to take the mic. "[He] always said to me that I’m one of his top favorite guests [on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen], and he’s said that I’m very funny, so I want to see how it is," Sonja said.
And if all goes well, she may make a habit of stand-up. "This might be something for me, if the audience enjoys it and there’s a good back-and-forth and we’re laughing," Sonja said. But don't expect those laughs to come at the expense of Sonja's fellow New York 'Wives.
"[Luann de Lesseps] has been doing her cabaret show, and she made some jokes about some of the ‘Housewives,’ and they didn’t take too kindly to it," Sonja spilled.
