Ashley Jacobs' time in Charleston has been filled with ups and downs since she first arrived in The Holy City in 2017. However, she has decided that she's ready to live that West Coast life once again.

Ashley moved back to her native California in February, she announced on Instagram on Wednesday, May 15. "Thanks for the life lessons South Carolina but I’m goin’ back to my roots! #CaliforniaGirl," she shared in a post that featured a photo of her South Carolina license plate atop her California one.

Kathryn Dennis reacted to Ashley reactivating her public Instagram during Wednesday night's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen (clip above). "You can't have feelings for someone who doesn't have feelings, but I didn't even know that," she said.

It also doesn't sound like Ashley will be missed by Patricia Altschul, either, who noted her feelings about her return to Instagram with a wave goodbye on WWHL. Later, when Patricia was asked by a caller if she could say anything positive about Ashley (clip below), she replied, "No. Oh, wait, I take that back. She's gone."

Originally from Santa Barbara, California, Ashley moved to Charleston on August 3, 2017. A few months after arriving in her new home, she continued her career as a nurse. "I work through an agency. So I go to people's homes, and I care for their loved ones, the patients, their families are there as well. So I help relieve them of their duties. A lot of them are terminal or have [disabilities], so it's been great too being in that field because I'm going to homes, I'm helping families," Ashley told The Daily Dish in July 2018. "Even though I work for them, it's been really great because I don't have my family here, and a lot of these patients have become family."

As she got ready to commemorate her first year in Charleston, Ashley said that she felt like she was getting more acclimated to the city. "You know, I've really learned to make it my home," she shared. "Once I started working, I got a job, traveling, driving, I started to see it with a different perspective."

While reflecting on her time in Charleston and with the Southern Charm crew, Ashley told The Daily Dish that she wouldn't have done anything differently. "This was definitely a learning experience for me, and I definitely would have done it over knowing I was so hated because I definitely learned a lot about myself. Even [when] I [am] on my deathbed, I won't regret [it]. 'I should have done it. What if I did it?' I never want to [wonder], 'What if?' That's why I moved to Charleston. If I didn't do it, I always would have wondered, 'What if?'" she said during an interview last year. "Everything happens for a reason, like the choices you make in your life shape your future, they do, they shape the person you are today, and I think I am a lot stronger today because of it. I have no regrets, of course, and sometimes I do have to learn to be a better person. In order to be better, you have to do better, so I have learned a lot."

We will see Ashley reunite with the Charmers this season of Southern Charm. Cameran Eubanks and Austen Kroll reveal what fans can expect from her return, below.
