Cameran Eubanks Says This Southern Charm Cast Member "Really Wanted" to Be Her Daughter's Godparent
Unfortunately, the Charmer "didn't make the cut."
The first year of a newborn's birth is always filled with lots of firsts, and Cameran Eubanks just celebrated a major milestone with her daughter, Palmer Corrine Wimberly, who was born on November 11, 2017.
Palmer was Christened on April 15, Cameran recently shared on Instagram. Cameran posted a photo of the Christening, which took place at the same location she married husband Jason Wimberly on April 12, 2014. "It was a blessed day indeed!" the Southern Charm mom gushed in the caption to the photo, which also featured a cross made out of flowers, which was created by her mother-in-law and "was out of this world," according to Cameran.
The Christening and Cameran's wedding took place at a farm owned by her in-laws. It's located about 45 minutes away from Charleston in South Carolina and has been in Jason's family "for a while," Cameran said. "It's a very special place. We go in there a lot of times on the weekends. There's almost 500 acres of land," Cameran shared. "And to have Palmer Christened there, I think, meant a lot to my husband and his family, too."
Cameran told The Daily Dish that when it came to choosing Palmer's godparents, it "was a very easy decision" to go with Jason's cousin Graham and Cameran's best friend Anitha, both of whom are also pictured at the Christening in the above photo. But one of Cameran's Southern Charm besties hoped to be in the running. "Shep didn't make the cut, even though he really wanted to," Cameran said.
Perhaps the fact that Cameran still holds Shep's babysitting skills in high regard can act as a consolation prize, especially after he recently met Palmer for the first time himself. "Shep is great with kids. He has little nieces, and now he has a new nephew," Cameran gushed. "He's like a big kid himself. So he's awesome with babies."
