Here's What Ashley Jacobs Has to Say About Kathryn C. Dennis and Patricia Altschul's Newfound Bond
She has some surprising thoughts on the Southern Charm friendship.
The unimaginable has happened this season of Southern Charm. All of the iciness between Kathryn C. Dennis and Patricia Altschul that has built up over the years seemed to thaw when the two shared a friendly chat at Patricia's Winter Ball in this season's finale.
In fact, Kathryn and Patricia's newfound friendship has continued on long after this season's finale. The two even watched Part 1 of the Southern Charm reunion together.
But as Kathryn and Patricia's relationship changes for the better, Ashley Jacobs' friendship with the Southern Charm matriarch seems to have done a 180 since the season ended. Not only did Patricia call Ashley's comments to Kathryn at her Winter Ball "unspeakably cruel," but Ashley also teases that she has "no relationship" with Patricia in a sneak peek of Part 2 of this season's reunion.
When The Daily Dish recently caught up with Ashley over the phone, she gave her take on Kathryn and Patricia's bonding these days. "Yeah, good for them, you know," Ashley said. "I think it's interesting because Patricia said some things, like she was the one rooting me on, and when I had said the things that I had said about Kathryn, she liked it. She applauded me for it. She was supportive, so it was just really interesting for me to see that. But, you know, it's like that saying, 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend.'"
Ashley added that it's been "upsetting" for her boyfriend Thomas Ravenel to see Kathryn and Patricia finally set aside their differences after trying to bring them closer together for so long. "So it's interesting," Ashley said. "But I'm sure Kathryn appreciates that support, and who wouldn't?"
Patricia opened up about why she decided to give Kathryn another chance during an interview with The Daily Dish earlier this season. "I have not really been friendly with Kathryn nor have I invited her to anything for about four years," she said. "I was concerned about her previous behavior, the volatility, the drug situation. But in the last year, Whitney [Sudler-Smith] has been telling me how she’s changed, how she’s really been an exemplary parent, she's fun, she’s kind, she’s nice to be with. There’s no evidence whatsoever of that past behavior and so I just thought it was time. I was looking forward to seeing her and getting to know her."
We'll hear more from Ashley when she joins the Charmers in Part 2 of the Season 5 reunion Thursday at 9/8c. Get a taste of what you can expect, below.
