Madison LeCroy Reveals if Austen Kroll Reached Out After She Married Brett
The Southern Charm newlywed revealed the answer just days after her beachside ceremony in Mexico.
When Southern Charm’s Madison LeCroy married Brett Randle on November 19, only about 40 guests were present at the intimate beachside ceremony. The congratulatory messages that poured in afterward, however, were countless.
If you’re wondering whether or not her ex Austen Kroll was among those who reached out, not to worry, the newlywed has already revealed the answer. Given that Austen sent the couple well wishes on the Southern Charm Season 8 reunion, it wouldn’t be so out of the question, after all.
As it turns out, however, that’s where Austen’s show of goodwill ended, and he did not congratulate Madison. That was just fine with her, though. “His congrats that he gave me on the reunion was enough for me,” she told Us Weekly on November 21. “He said he wished us well [on the show] and… we’re gonna leave it just as that.”
Regardless, that’s a huge amount of progress for Madison and Austen, who dated for two years before splitting in December 2020. When the Southern Charm-er announced her engagement to Brett on Amazon Live in October 2021, Austen said he learned the news at the same time the public did. At the Season 8 reunion, he admitted he felt “blindsided” because Madison didn’t give him a heads-up prior to making the announcement.
As fans saw play out earlier in the season, Austen didn’t have the best reaction to his ex’s engagement news. “When I told Austen I was gonna marry Brett, he said, ‘I think you’re picking the wrong guy,’” Madison claimed on the July 21 episode of Southern Charm. “I was like, ‘Oh God, only you would say that instead of just [congratulating] me.’”
Though Austen has certainly softened his stance since then, it’s not exactly a surprise that he wasn’t checking out Madison and Brett’s gift registry, either.
