The Southern Charm NOLA cast member reflected on the impact her death has on his life in an Instagram post.
Barry Smith shared some sad news today, September 24: His mother passed away.
In an Instagram post, the Southern Charm New Orleans cast member reflected upon her death and the impact it has on his own life. "On this day, my life has changed forever. It’s the end of the 'last' and the beginning of the 'first.' I had my last New Years, Mother’s Day, 4th of July, Birthday and Kiss. From this day on, it’ll be my first without you...." he wrote.
The father of two also shared a moment of introspection: "We want people to be in our lives forever, even when their quality of life is 0. We are selfish. It’s human nature. I’ve never questioned God for the things that happens in our life’s that cause us heartbreak and sorrow, so I won’t start now."
And Barry closed out with a special tribute to his late mom: "Heaven has gained a warrior. Spread your wings [RIP] Mom. You’ll always live within us, in our hearts," he concluded.
