Shep Rose Reveals He Was in a Car Accident in Cape Town
Shep thinks Craig and Austen will get “joy and amusement” out of his car accident story.
Shep Rose is trying to find the bright side following his car accident in South Africa.
The Southern Charm-er started the new year with a bit of a travel hiccup — and he shared all the details about it on his public Instagram page. After arriving in Cape Town for a friend’s wedding, Shep “foolishly” decided to rent a Jeep to get to “wine country” for the actual nuptials. As he was driving (on the left side of the road, to boot), Shep shared that a “curb literally came out of nowhere” and he hit it “rather aggressively.”
“Right away I knew,” he wrote in his Instagram post on January 2. While the accident itself could have been the worst part of the ordeal, Shep’s troubles didn’t stop there.
“The aftermath has been quite amusing. They came to change the tire but forgot the jack,” Shep wrote on Instagram, along with the shrugging man emoji. “Now just returning the car for good and [Ubering] out there. You got to read the tea leaves, and I think the universe is telling me not to drive on the wrong side of the road. (For me at least)…”
Shep doesn’t need said tea leaves to know that the story will put a smile on his friends’ faces.
“Btw — this is going to give [Austen Kroll] and [Craig Conover] great joy and amusement. They think I’m the worst driver in the world,” Shep concluded. “For once, I might be starting to take their side.”
Thankfully, Shep didn’t let the accident ruin his entire trip. The Southern Charm OG shared some highlights from his trip on his Instagram Stories shortly after he posted about his car troubles.
