Shep Rose Shares What’s Next for Him and Girlfriend Taylor Ann Green
The Southern Charm cast member opened up about his relationship ahead of the Season 8 premiere.
Shep Rose and his girlfriend, Taylor Ann Green, have been going strong for quite a while. And now we’re getting a little more insight into what might be in store for the Southern Charm couple.
“There’s a lot of other stuff going on [this season]. I’m with Taylor,” he teased to The Daily Dish on the red carpet of the NBCUniversal upfront earlier this month, referring to the new season, which premieres on June 23, and noting there is more than just drama to follow in Season 8.
Shep then shared some insight into how we might learn the news should he pop the question in the future: “I’m an open person in general, but I think there’s something to be said for not being too vocal. And I don’t think I would ever do like [a big announcement]. I don’t know how I’d do it. You’ll be the first to know.”
He then joked, “She’s probably going to dump me anytime now.”
As teased in a press release for the new season, fans will get more insight into the couple’s relationship.
“At 42 years old and facing pressure to settle down, Shep finds himself at a crossroads in his relationship with his girlfriend, Taylor, who is still grappling with Shep’s past mistakes. When Shep reaches his breaking point, his friends waste no time calling him out and coming to her defense,” the press release reads, adding, “Patient and steadfast, Taylor leans on the group when she confronts past and present scares in her relationship. While quick to stand up for her friends, the dental assistant finds herself thinking twice about whether or not Shep is worth sticking around for.”
Still, it’s clear these two have each other’s backs, especially when it’s important. They have spent time bonding with each other’s families, and Shep recently shared how close he’s become with Taylor’s family in an Instagram post that opens up about her sister’s recent health journey.
“One of the great things about my relationship with [Taylor] has been getting to know her family. You won’t find better people: kind, warm, funny, and they like to make margarita pitchers. It’s a lot like mine except replace warmth with sarcasm and margaritas with Wine! Her big sister (who has one of the all time best smiles) beat cancer a few years back. She and her husband Jim own and operate a farm in Virginia which I think is cool. Well, unfortunately she just found out the cancer has returned,” he wrote. “Everyone is hopeful because it was caught early and treatment can commence. But she’ll have a hard road ahead away from her everyday life. She has started a [GoFundMe] to help with the cost of the said road. I’m donating now. Wanted to put in on y’all’s radar. Also the first picture is maybe the most confused [Craig, the dog] has ever been. And he’s been in some strange predicaments.”
