Southern Charm's Olivia Flowers shares how she's coping after her brother, Conner, passed away earlier this year.
Southern Charm's Olivia Flowers is opening up about the loss of her brother, Conner, who passed away earlier this year. She sat down with Vanderpump Rules' Scheana Shay on a recent episode of her Scheananigans podcast, and she reflected on navigating her emotions following his passing.
Olivia said that, following the loss of her brother, she found herself in "emotional cruise control" as she was dealing with grief. "It's been rough," she said, adding, "My world just feels like it's completely upside down at the moment."
Olivia previously posted about Conner's death on Instagram to commemorate his birthday as she was dealing with the emotional situation.
"I’ve been avoiding the post and anything else that makes losing you our new reality…but I want to wish you a Happy Heavenly Birthday Conner. Mom, Dad, and I love you. here on earth, we are missing you #33," she wrote in February. "Thank you to all those who have reached out and been so helpful during this time. To be surrounded by those who knew and loved Conner all week was a gift in itself. We are so grateful for all your messages - please know they haven’t gone unseen."
In another tribute to her brother, Olivia opened up more about Conner and their family. "What a blessing it has been to be the sister of such a beautiful, tender-hearted soul with the soft-spoken voice to match. He led every interaction with that big heart of his. Catching everyone’s eye with his fashion sense. I don’t know what this life will be without you. It’s always been you and me," she wrote. "I can only hope I continue to be known forever as 'Conner’s little sister' the three of us will keep looking up at you."
She also thanked those close to her like Leva Bonaparte, Madison LeCroy, Naomie Olindo, and Taylor Ann Green (who have left comments for their pal across her Instagram posts), among others, for their support following the loss. "The appreciation in my heart for friends like you. Thank you to those who filled our family home with love [and] support these last few weeks," she wrote about her "family members, old friends, [and] new friends." "We are blessed. I know Conner heard all of the beautiful words spoken about him and his kind heart."
Olivia later reflected on her chat with Scheana, which she wrote on Instagram was a "full circle moment driving by my old neighborhood & the studio where I worked as a Production Assistant. I was born in Laguna Beach but moved away when I was 5 so I rarely say I’m “from California” but I still find those late night dinners and PCH drives nostalgic."
