Star Jones: Battle With NeNe Leakes Like Fighting an 'Uncaged Animal'

The heated confrontations that Celebrity Apprentice viewers are just now seeing unfold between NeNe Leakes and Star Jones ignited months ago, but the two are proving that nasty fights don't die easily.

Star told The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently that during her epic Celebrity Apprentice battle with the Real Housewives of Atlanta star, she remained fairly composed – all insults considered – because, "I was thinking I need to keep calm because when you're confronted in the wild with an uncaged animal, you're supposed to retreat. You're not supposed to attack."

Tensions boiled over on Sunday night's episode when NeNe aggressively criticized Star for her lack of street smarts (and at one point during the spat asked Star, "Now where's Barbara Walters?"). But the former co-host of The View spilled to Ellen that in her head she simply reminded herself, "If you start acting ghetto your entire family, every teacher you ever had, your pastor, his wife and their mama is going to have a big problem with you."

Using Twitter to explain her side of the outburst, the Atlanta Housewife told followers, "I always tell the truth because I don't c the point n lying & it worked 4 me on last nite episode! I had taken all I could take."
