Stassi Schroeder Defends Kelly Clarkson, Slams Fat-Shamers

The 'Vanderpump Rules' star reacts to Chris Wallace's controversial radio show interview.

Word of advice? If you're someone who participates in fat-shaming, be prepared to face the wrath of Vanderpump Rules mean girl Stassi Shroeder.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Peacock and the Bravo app.

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace recently was a guest on The Mike Gallagher Show, and rather than discuss politics, the men got into a conversation about pizza and fat-shaming. Then things went off the rail, as host Mike Gallagher decided to bring Kelly Clarkson into the conversation.

"Have you seen Kelly Clarkson? You know the singer, Kelly Clarkson?" Mike asked Chris. "Holy cow, did she blow up." Though at first Chris seemed to deflect the situation and actually defend the American Idol winner, shortly thereafter he made things much, much worse. "Really? Do we want to talk about some of your friends? Kelly Clarkson's got a lovely voice," he replied. He then followed with: "She should stay off the deep dish pizza for a little while."

Stassi did not take too kindly to the antics, and took to her Twitter to blast back about the exchange between the men. "Grown men fat-shaming any woman much less a new mother literally makes me want to throw up, or force feed them rusty knives," she wrote, adding the hashtag "#ChrisWallace," just so we all knew exactly who the message was directed towards. Plenty on the Twittersphere seemed to agree, with it being retreated nearly 200 times, and favorited over 600.

Kelly gave birth to a beautiful daughter last June, but unfortunately is somewhat used to the criticism revolving around her weight. She opened up about it on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week. "I love that people thing [the topic] is new. Like, welcome to the past 13 years," she explains. "I yo-yo. Sometimes I'm more fit and I get into kickboxing and hardcore, and then sometimes I don't go, 'Nope, I'd rather have wine!'"

Well, if Kelly's ever in West Hollywood, it sounds like she has a new partner in crime to get a drink at SUR with!
