Steve Gold Is Thankful for More Time with His Daughter During Self-Quarantine
The Million Dollar Listing New York dad took a social media break to "connect" with his family.
After stepping away from social media to enjoy some quality time with his family while self-isolating to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), Steve Gold has returned to Instagram with a positive message for all of his followers. The Million Dollar Listing New York dad opened up about his self-quarantine, and the opportunity to spend more time with his adorable 9-month-old daughter, Rose.
“Hey everyone, I’ve missed you! I hope everyone is staying home, staying safe, and respecting those on the front line (THANK YOU) risking their lives to help fight this devastating virus by staying HOME,” he wrote alongside a sweet photo with Rose, which he posted on March 29. “In a time when it seems many are turning towards social media to stay ‘connected,’ I opted not to post to social media for a month to try to reconnect. I didn’t announce it or make it a big thing, I just did it to try to connect more with myself and my family.”
Steve then described what his time at home has looked like in the past few weeks.
“On March 6th, we self quarantined and since then, have been isolated at our apartment in NYC. In the past month, I have been fortunate to be able to spend real quality time with my 9-month-old daughter, who generally, if I got an hour a day with my work schedule, I would consider myself lucky,” said Steve.
“We danced, sang, crawled around the house, played games, bathed, read bedtime stories, and obviously had a tantrum or two—all in a day’s work for those with young kids,” he said. “For this, I am so very grateful. In difficult times, when many are suffering, I still think it is important to express what we are grateful for—despite the sadness, there is hope, and there is light at the end of the tunnel.”
Finally, Steve prompted his followers to share what they are grateful for during this uncertain time, in an effort to spread positivity and “get through this together.”
