Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula Have a Very LOL Reaction to Those Who Doubted Them

The Summer House couple wants haters to know they’re still going strong one year into their marriage.

Summer House cast members Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula are ready for their naysayers to put their money where their mouths are.

How to Watch

Watch Summer House on Bravo Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

Amanda jokingly said as much during a Loverboy party in New York City, held just one week after she and Kyle celebrated their first wedding anniversary. “I can’t believe we made it!” Amanda told Page Six. “Anyone that took bets that we wouldn’t make it, they lost, and they owe us money!”

“You love who you love,” she added. “When you know it’s the right person for you, that’s all that matters. It doesn’t matter what other people think or say, because they don’t have to marry that person.”

Kyle echoed this sentiment, telling Page Six that while “there’s always going to be the peanut gallery,” they don’t necessarily have to pay it any mind.

Tuning out the noise can be hard though. Reflecting on Summer House Season 6—which documented the month leading up to the couple’s wedding—Kyle added, “Last season we were at a head, and we knew we wanted to marry each other, and we were just like, ‘This wedding planning process thing sucks.’”

Thankfully, once the big day came and went, Amanda said they “were able to breathe again and be ourselves and fall back in love.”

Summer House’s Carl Radke, who was also in attendance at the Loverboy party, attested to this, telling Page Six that he and his fiancée, castmate Lindsay Hubbard, were able to see the couple at their best while filming the upcoming second season of Winter House

“When Lindsay and I did get to Winter House, seeing them in just like a really happy fun place, it meant a lot to see what it was like without the stress,” Carl told Page Six. “They were enjoying themselves.”

Winter House Season 2 premieres on Thursday, October 13. Each episode will stream the next day on Peacock.
