Kyle Cooke Sheds Light on the Loverboy Drama with Carl Radke

Plus, Mya Allen weighed in and said the friendship between Carl and Kyle is “dead and gone.”

By Shannon Raphael

According to Kyle Cooke, summer should be fun — but his issues with his friend and former Loverboy colleague Carl Radke have been anything but a good time.

How to Watch

Watch Summer House on Bravo Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

On Summer House Season 7, the pals are not on the same page when it comes to Carl’s role at the alcoholic beverage company. (Ahead of the February 13 premiere, Carl confirmed to ET that he was no longer working for Loverboy, though he was still a “proud” investor in the brand.)

In the final moments of Episode 2, Kyle chatted with Mya Allen at a group dinner and discussed Carl’s work history. Kyle shared that he was “frustrated” because he felt like the former VP of sales was “checked out” at work. He said he offered Carl a position at Loverboy when he was “unhire-able,” which Danielle Olivera said was “unfair” to say.

The episode ended with Kyle storming off from the dinner, but he justified what he said when he appeared alongside Mya on the February 20 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

“I’m reacting to the fact that Carl kind of made our business everybody’s business the first weekend,” Kyle said, explaining why he spoke about Carl’s past during that group dinner, which you can check out in the video above. “I’m like, ‘Yo, there’s so much history, there’s so many layers here… You have to understand what we’ve gone through to get where we’re at.’”

Host Andy Cohen wondered if Carl would agree that he was “unhire-able” when he started working at the company, and Kyle said “probably,” though he had “never asked him.”

Mya Allen Thinks Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke’s Bromance Is “Dead and Gone”

The Loverboy founder commented on whether he thinks Carl started questioning his place at the company because he was influenced by his girlfriend (now fiancée), Lindsay Hubbard.

“I think Carl felt a little inadequate and insecure, and Lindsay’s questions amplified it,” Kyle continued. “And then he really started to question things.”

Later in the episode, when Kyle was asked to choose between Carl and Lindsay as having “changed the most for the worst” since Season 1, he picked Lindsay.

Though Carl and Kyle have both said that ending their working relationship has been beneficial to their friendship, Mya doesn’t exactly agree.

On WWHL, the Knead online cookie shop founder said there isn’t anything the two can do to improve their friendship now that they’re no longer professionally intertwined.

“I think that’s dead and gone,” she said.

While fans now know that Carl did, in fact, leave Loverboy in November 2022, long after the summer ended, they have yet to find out what else happened between him and Kyle when they were in the Hamptons.

Find out what went down after Kyle left dinner by pressing play on the video below.
