Lindsay Hubbard Sheds New Light on Her Feud with Danielle Olivera
The Summer House OG hopes that watching the show back will help her understand what went wrong with her ex-bestie.
During BravoCon 2022, Lindsay Hubbard and Danielle Olivera teased that their once-close friendship was in an “unfortunate” place because “a lot happened” during filming for Summer House Season 7. Now, Summer House fans aren’t the only ones who are looking to get some clarity once Season 7 premieres on February 13.
While chatting with Us Weekly ahead of the Season 7 premiere, Lindsay revealed she’s hopeful that watching the show back will give her a new perspective on exactly what went wrong with Danielle.
“I look forward to figuring that out along with the viewers, because I spent my entire summer just very confused,” she said about how their beef began. “I would never have guessed that this is where our friendship would’ve ended up.”
Lindsay believes her relationship with her now-fiancé, Carl Radke (who Danielle previously dated), was “the straw that broke the camel’s back” in their friendship, but she’s not yet sure why that is.
“Because all summer I’m listening and hearing all these hurtful things that she’s saying about us,” Lindsay added. “It seemed like she was very supportive of us walking into the summer, and then all of a sudden that didn’t happen and her dialogue became the opposite of that.”
While Lindsay admitted she’s “dreading” watching her friendship with Danielle deteriorate on the show and having to “relive” that part of the summer, she does think it could help them get back to a better place in their relationship.
“I don’t think anything is ever beyond repair in life. I don’t think any relationship — unless it’s, like, extremely abusive — is beyond repair,” she continued. “I do hope that we can understand each other, maybe, from watching the show.”
Fans will have to tune in to Season 7 to see exactly what happens between the two, but the trailer does provide some context to Lindsay and Danielle’s feud.
In the teaser, Lindsay questions why she would ever need a “blessing” from Danielle regarding her relationship with Carl, and she accuses her now-estranged friend of “bash[ing]” her the “entire summer.” Danielle, meanwhile, tells a few of the other cast members that it would be “crazy” for Carl and Lindsay to get engaged, which we know ended up happening in August 2022.
“Maybe we won’t get engaged when it’s appropriate for you,” Lindsay tells Danielle.
“You’re getting so f--king defensive that it’s annoying,” Danielle responds.
