Denise Richards Sheds Some Light on Sutton Stracke’s Issue Running into Joey Maalouf
The RHOBH cast offers info on Sutton's issues with a mutual friend of her and Lisa Rinna's.
In the May 13 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Sutton Stracke was definitely worried about running into a certain someone at the launch party for Lisa Rinna's daughters' clothing line, DNA. No, it wasn't one of the Housewives, but instead a mutual friend of hers with Rinna, makeup artist Joey Maalouf.
Sutton explained just why in the episode: "Lisa and I have a mutual friend, Joey. So I thought he was gonna be there tonight. He does her hair and makeup and we went into business together [in an app]. My business with Joey survived, but we had a falling out — and I am lifted by the holy spirit 'cause Joey is not here."
Before going into the DNA event, Sutton said to Dorit Kemsley, "I'm going to flip out," which caused issues at a dinner party later that night (clip above). Maalouf was not at the event, but now we're learning more about what caused anxiety for the RHOBH friend.
"I think that Sutton felt caught off-guard thinking that he would be there and whatever their situation is I think she was just caught off-guard and she didn't know how to handle it. And I do think Lisa Rinna may be a little more nurturing with [Sutton] joining this group of women. They have their own dynamic of friendship," Denise Richards said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home on May 13.
Kyle Richards took to Twitter to share her take on the dinner party drama with Sutton.
Sutton and Dorit both shared their take on Sutton's "let the mouse go" comment today.
