Sutton Stracke Reveals Where She Stands with Kyle Richards: "She Took a Break from Me"
The RHOBH cast member remains hopeful she and Kyle will repair their friendship someday: "It takes time."
Sutton Stracke says she and Kyle Richards are on a friendship “break”… and it wasn’t her choice.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom discussed the relationship during the January 15 episode of New York Living, where she was pressed about the on- and off-screen drama between her and Kyle. The two found themselves at odds at the beginning of Season 13, after Sutton stormed out of a Magic Mike Live performance during a group trip to Las Vegas.
Kyle addressed the incident in the November 5, 2023, episode, which saw her accuse Sutton of regularly “losing [her] sh-t in ridiculous circumstances.” The tiff quickly snowballed into a full-on feud, as Sutton went on to question the root of Kyle’s new health journey and whether it had anything to do with her rumored marital issues.
Although Sutton ultimately agreed to “quit asking about [Kyle’s] household,” she told New York Living she and her castmate stopped talking after Season 13 production wrapped.

“Well, she took a break from me. So I guess we’re still on a break,” Sutton explained. “She didn’t tell me we were taking a break, but I kind of noticed that we weren’t talking.”
The Georgia native said she had reached out to Kyle earlier this month and sent her a birthday wish. Although she didn’t provide details about the exchange, Sutton confirmed Kyle had "responded."

“I think we’re gonna get back to a better place because we’ve been friends for about four years now and she means a lot to me,” Sutton continued. “And I think we’ll eventually smooth things out. But it takes time.”
The boutique owner said the fallout was particularly hard because she always thought of Kyle as family.
“She really welcomed me into the show. And then also, just being in LA, it’s hard to make friends,” she said. “So she really welcomed me and I am forever grateful to her for that. So I look forward to nurturing our relationship back to health.”
Kyle Richards says she needed "space from" Sutton Stracke
Kyle spoke about the rift in a November interview with Us Weekly, explaining why she needed “space from Sutton.”
“She was a lot,” the RHOBH OG told the outlet at BravoCon 2023. “It had just been a lot of situations with her back-to-back to [where] I was like, ‘Whoa, dial it back. I am going to need to step away for a minute because I didn’t see us getting anywhere.’ And I had enough on my plate at the time.”
