Tabatha Coffey: Too Fabulous to Be a Lesbian?!

The straight-talking star of Tabatha Takes Over receives criticism over dressing too well!

By Nicki Gostin

We're pretty sure Nashville is a different city now that our Tabatha has spent some time there. In the latest season of Tabatha Takes Over, which starts this Thursday, the awesome Aussie spent a lot of time in the country music capital fixin' salons, a lot of them helmed by LGBT owners (and also partaking in a Southern delicacy, Goo Goo Clusters, which sound pretty amazing to us Northern folk).

"As a member of the LGBT community, I love being able to help one of our businesses succeed," she told Nashville's Out & About, "It's part of my vision and commitment to being a professional."

Tabatha is as always completely committed to helping those salons in need and takes it all very personally.

"Even when I am frustrated with a business owner," she explains. "I am always trying to find the way through to help them because otherwise, it will be failure. Unfortunately, people can sometimes be their own worst enemies."

We would'nt say Tabatha has her own enemies, but she has received some unusual backlash... over her clothes! She responded to criticism she's received from the gay community that her attire is too fabulous for her to be a lesbian.

Huh?!

"Prejudice isn't exclusively for straight people," Tabatha says plainly.

Don't miss the well-dressed Tabatha on the Season 5 premiere of Tabatha Takes Over this Thursday at 10/9c. Watch the first 10 minutes HERE.
