#TBT: A Look Back at #RHOA's Season 1 Reunion

Outfit choices for the end of season sit-down were a little different than they are now.

By Jordan Upmalis

Every Thursday, celebrate #TBT with us as we open the vault to share photos of Bravolebrities before they were famous—or revisit memorable moments from our shows. This week, we look back at the very first reunion special following the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 1.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

My, how things have changed! (Like NeNe Leakes’ hairstyle!)

The first season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta launched NeNe Leakes, Kim Zolciak, Shereè Whitfield, DeShawn Snow and Lisa Wu-Hartwell’s lives onto the small screen and it’s safe to say its future success was vastly underestimated.

We watched the Season 1 RHOA stars balance marriage and divorce, children, blossoming business endeavors and more, all while attempting to navigate a very tumultuous social scene.

With Season 7 recently wrapped, we enjoyed a dramatic reunion special with the ‘Wives dressed to the nines—with a poll to prove it.

But this is a trend that has very clearly evolved, especially if you take a look back on the ensembles sported by the Season 1 ladies. You won’t find any ballgowns or elaborate hairstyles on this blast from the past sit-down!

Although this group of ladies appear far more casual than our current cast, that's not to say that they didn't bring their own explosive elements to the show and especially to the reunion. Who can forget Kim's shocking confession to having (and then not having) cancer? Or NeNe's infamous "Close your legs to married men" speech? We love the ladies who are on the show now, but have to say that Kim, Shereè, DeShawn and Lisa's shenanigans are also missed.

We’ve rounded up some of our favorite pics from the 2008 special in a walk down memory lane that's totally worth it. Enjoy!
