#TBT: Heather Dubrow Plays Jenny McCarthy’s Sidekick
The RHOC star brought the laughs in the ‘90s sitcom, 'Jenny.'
Every Thursday, celebrate #TBT with us as we open the vault to share photos of Bravolebrities before they were famous--or revisit memorable moments from our shows. This week, we dug up scenes from an episode of “Jenny” to check out Heather Dubrow’s acting chops!
Long before she was on the OC, Heather Dubrow had a string of roles alongside some of television’s most famous faces, including Ed O’Neill, Roseanne Barr, Rob Schneider, Neil Patrick Harris, Ellen Burstyn and Bob Saget. But, one of her most notable roles was starring opposite Jenny McCarthy in her self-titled sitcom that ran from 1997-1998 on NBC.
In the show, McCarthy plays a convenience store clerk who suddenly inherits a vast fortune from her B movie star father she never knew. After her father's funeral, Jenny and her lifelong friend Maggie, played by Heather, decide to pursue fame in Hollywood.
It’s clear that Heather’s not only talented, but also has a legitimate career. Yet, her acting ambitions haven’t always been so well received by her fellow ‘Wives. In Season 8, former RHOC ‘Wife Gretchen Rossi got into a tiff with Heather over who was offered a role on the sitcom “Malibu Country.”

However, it seems Heather has the last laugh. She continues to land roles, including recent stints on “Hot in Cleveland” and “Hawaii Five-0.” What do you think of Heather’s acting skills? Tell us in the comments!
