Here's How Teresa Giudice Is Preparing for Her First Christmas Without Joe

Christmas must have been a bittersweet holiday for the Giudice family the past couple of years. Teresa Giudice celebrated Christmas with her husband, Joe Giudice, and their four daughters right before she began her prison sentence in January 2015. She was released on December 23 of that year, and one of the first things she did upon her return home was celebrate Christmas Eve with the famiglia. 

But this year's Christmas is going to be unlike any other for Teresa, since it will be the first one she'll spend without Joe as he continues to serve out his 41-month prison sentence, which began in March. However, that doesn't mean the holiday won't still be filled with family. "I'm not hosting Christmas Eve this year. I'm going to my brother's [Joe Gorga] again, because it's just us," Teresa told E! News at the Brooklyn Rocks Fashion Show on Wednesday. "Being home is just kind of going to be sad, so I didn't want to be home. So Christmas Eve, I'm going to my brother's, and Christmas, going to whoever's having it, Joe's sister or Joe's brother." 

It sounds like spending the holidays surrounded by family will help Teresa and Joe's daughters (Gia, 15, Gabriella, 12, Milania, 10, and Audriana, 7) cope with not having their father home for the holidays as well. "It's nice to spend the holidays with family, because we don't get to see them that much," Teresa said. "The girls like to be with their family." 

Luckily, the Giudice girls have found ways to keep their heads up and not dwell on Joe's absence during this difficult time. "I'm so busy — thank God — just running around working and with the kids. They have all their activities," Teresa said.
