Teresa Giudice Opens Up About Family Drama
The Giudices take their side of the feud to "People."
As the fallout continues from the explosive season premiere of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice and husband Joe Giudice are sharing their side of their christening clash with Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga.
Close to 3 million people watched years of tension explode into a heated altercation as Teresa and Joe Giudice clashed with Teresa's brother Joe Gorga and wife Melissa at their son's christening, a heartbreaking rift that Teresa tells People magazine she hopes can be still be mended. "I don't know how things got so bad between us, but I want to fix it," Teresa says in the new issue of People. "Me and my brother were best friends. Now he has this hatred against me. You don't want to fight with family. It's the worst thing to do that on national television."
In the wake of the fight, the feuding parties are now sharing their side of the build-up to the dust-up with competing magazines (news on Melissa and Joe's exclusive here), with Teresa telling People that the strained relationship between the two families is rooted in jealousy. "My brother was angry that we never put him on the show," Teresa tells the magazine. "Melissa was dying to be on TV."
The couple also disputes on-camera claims that Joe Giudice instigated the christening clash, as Teresa's hubby tells People, "They acted like Jersey Shore, beating each other up. It wasn't us."
Now, as for Joe Gorga's claim that Teresa's husband torpedoed his relationship with his father, Joe Giudice dismisses that as well. "That's the stupidest thing I ever heard!" Joe quips. "I never talk about that kid."
