How Is Teresa Giudice Supporting a Cause That's Close to Her Heart?

The #RHONJ mom reveals how she's supporting a young man suffering from kidney disease.

By Jocelyn Vena

Teresa Giudice isn't just a bestselling author and busy Real Housewives of New Jersey mom, she also just so happens to be quite vocal when it comes to bringing attention to the Nephcure Kidney International organization. And now she's once again shining a light on the cause by supporting Sydney and Matthew Levine (pictured above), that latter of whom is a young man suffering from the kidney disease, FSGS. "As you know I was on Celebrity Apprentice to support Matthew Levine and the Nephcure Foundation. I continue to support Nephcure by joining [his sister] Sydney Levine to help raise awareness to find a cure for Matthew and all those that suffer from FSGS," Teresa said in a statement to The Daily Dish. "[Sydney] is doing 31 days of MARCHing to raise awareness in the month of March for kidney awareness month."

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey on Peacock and the Bravo app.

When Teresa appeared on Celebrity Apprentice in 2012, she donated her $60,000 in winnings to the cause. At the time, she appeared at an event along with Matthew's father, Michael Levine, where she opened up about being moved by the family's story. "Being a mom of four, I can't even imagine what they're going through. No children should suffer. Being a mom, I just can't even imagine," Teresa said. "There's no cure out there, but if we all fight for this and raise as much money as we can, we could try to find a cure."

In addition to her charity work, Teresa will be back for more RHONJ later this year. Check out a preview of Season 7, below.
