Andy Cohen Pays Tribute to Teresa Giudice's Father, Giacinto Gorga, After His Passing

Andy Cohen is paying tribute to Teresa Giudice’s late father, Giacinto Gorga, who passed away on April 3 after struggling with health issues. The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host remembered The Real Housewives of New Jersey grandfather, affectionally known as Nonno, in a touching message on Twitter.
“So sad about Nono!!” Andy wrote in response to the heartbreaking news. “He was a sweet patriarch to a wonderful family and a mainstay of #RHONJ. Sending all my love to @Teresa_Giudice @joegorga and the whole family.”
Teresa and brother Joe Gorga both shared the tragic news of their father’s passing on Instagram. The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom penned an emotional tribute to her dad, writing in part, "My father, my protector, my hero, God took you early this morning to be with mommy. I saw you peacefully pass [and] I know you kept fighting for my daughters and I."
Meanwhile, Joe shared a photo of him and his dad, writing, “Can’t believe he is gone. The world lost an amazing man human being today.”
The news of Giacinto's passing comes just a day after Teresa asked fans to send prayers and love their way as her father faced ongoing health issues. "At this trying time I’m graciously asking for any extra prayers, good vibes, love....please send my fathers way," Teresa wrote in the caption to a throwback photo of her dad surrounded by his family.
Giacinto moved in with Teresa and her four daughters in 2017 after the death of his wife and Teresa's mother, Antonia Gorga. He faced several health battles over the years, including a hospitalization for pneumonia this winter.
