The Countess Schools the 'Jersey Shore' Cast

LuAnn de Lesseps tells the Guidos and Guidettes how to keep their fame train moving.

By Lauren Metz

Snooki penned a novel, the Situation danced with the stars, and Paulie's rumored to score his own spinoff. Not to mention that next season the whole Jersey Shore gang is headed to Italy. Are these tanned reality moguls overdoing it?

"Every reality show star is different, so the decision to leave a hit show for other opportunities depends on the star and the opportunity," The Real Housewives of New York City's LuAnn de Lesseps writes in her "What Would the Countess Do?" column for OK! Magazine. "I was thrilled to be offered a guest appearance on the hit television show Law & Order: SVU and jumped at the chance to work with Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni. I'm following my dream of working in show business and I still enjoy working with my co-stars on the Real Housewives of New York City. Why not have the best of both worlds?"

Striking while the iron is hot is a go for the Countess, but reality stars babbling their thoughts on Sarah Palin isn't always a good idea, darling. "Making political statements can offend fans that don't hold the same convictions but who love the celebrity's work otherwise," she warns. Sorry, Snooks. Keep your opinion on that tanning tax to yourself next time.
