Jill Zarin is ready to find love again. Following reports earlier this summer that The Real Housewives of New York City alum had been dating Gary Brody six months after husband Bobby Zarin's passing, she confirmed that she is seeing a special someone during an interview with Extra at her sixth annual luxury luncheon on July 28.
Though Jill is ready to move on, she's not quite ready to say that she's in love again just yet. “New like, we’ll start with new like," she told Extra. “It’s time. We started out as friends and, you know, that’s what Bobby wanted for me, he was very adamant about it.”
So what would Bobby think of Jill's new beau? "I ask everyone who I've introduced him to if he would have approved, Bobby would have approved, and they all say Bobby would have approved," she said.
However, Jill said that she trusts daughter Ally Shapiro's "instinct the most." "She likes him," Jill shared.
Jill previously commented on dating after Bobby's passing to Us Weekly earlier this month. “Gary very much respects the grieving process I am going through and has been an incredible friend to talk to," she said. "He only wants the best for me and my daughter."
Jill also spoke to The Daily Dish about a conversation she had with Bobby before his passing about continuing her journey without him. "He told me what he wanted for me. It was very sad ... But he wants me to move on, he wants me to be happy," she shared. "He wants me to work. He wants me to play tennis. He knows I love it and he knows that that's probably a good place for me to meet a nice guy and he doesn't want me to be alone. He's not selfish like that."
Jill opens up more about life after Bobby, below.
