Andy Cohen Says The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Season 2 Is His "Dream Cast Crossover" (UPDATED)
The WWHL host teases the "twisted fantasy" come to life that will be the next season of RHUGT.
UPDATE (FEB. 3, 4:18 P.M.): The Peacock original series The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip will premiere on Bravo on Tuesday, February 8 at 9/8c. The news was first shared exclusively with Bravo Insider members on Thursday (January 20).
The original story continues below.
Bravo Digital’s Megan Segura and Erik J. Mac bring you exclusive interviews from Bravo HQ, featuring Bravolebs plus expert commentary and behind-the-scenes scoop straight from Bravo execs. New episodes are released every Saturday morning, wherever you get your podcasts.
For fans who love a Bravo crossover (and we mean, who doesn't?), 2021 was the year for you. Not only did Southern Charm and Summer House worlds collide in Winter House, but seven iconic Housewives went on the most unforgettable getaway ever in The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, streaming now exclusively on Peacock.
And there's another can't-miss cast on the way, according to Andy Cohen, who spilled on his "dream cast crossover" during the December 12 episode of The Daily Dish podcast, below. "Oh, wow. Well, my dream cast crossover is also the twisted fantasy that is Season 2 of Ultimate Girls Trip, to be honest with you. Phaedra [Parks], Vicki [Gunvalson], Brandi Glanville, Dorinda [Medley], I mean, [they] are all at the Berkshires, so this is a group of wildly different people," he teased. "It may be too twisted for words, we’ll see, but that was really exciting for me."
Of course, this news comes just as the final episode of Season 1 of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip has landed on Peacock. Featuring The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Kyle Richards, The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, and The Real Housewives of New York City's Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer, RHUGT Season 1 followed the adventures (and a whole lot of drama, naturally) of these seven legendary Housewives during a vacation of a lifetime in Turks and Caicos.
In addition to the delight of seeing these women from across the franchises together, fans have also enjoyed watching them break the fourth wall, opening up about what it's really like to be a Housewife. "In terms of on Ultimate Girls Trip, it was so clear that these women were getting together because we had put them together," Andy told The Daily Dish podcast. "They were from different shows, they know each other because of them all being Housewives. And so, we just embraced it from the start, and it made it fun. You’ll see it on Ultimate Girls Trip Season 2 as well. You’ll see them breaking the fourth wall and talking about their shows."
Looking ahead to the future of The Real Housewives, Bravo will welcome its 11th city in the franchise when The Real Housewives of Dubai premieres in 2022. Andy also gave fans a taste of what they can expect from the network's first international Housewives series during his interview with The Daily Dish podcast. "We’ve begun shooting, it’s going great," he said. "It’s different from everything else that’s on Bravo, yet it’s in the Housewives family, so it will feel familiar."
He added, "I just think everybody’s gonna love it."
