Well, This Is One Way to Experience the Solar Eclipse
This interesting musical duo is about as rare a combination as the actual eclipse.
A Joe Jonas sighting in person is just about as rare as catching a solar eclipse in person (if not more so), but soon there will be an opportunity to do both at once. Eighties singer Bonnie Tyler will perform her international hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart" live during Monday's solar eclipse, and will be backed by Joe and his band DNCE.
"It’s going to be so exciting. It doesn't happen very often, does it?" she asked Time.
Not often at all; in fact, the upcoming solar eclipse, which happens when the moon passes between Earth and the sun, will be the first one viewable in about 100 years.
The live performance is going to take place on a boat — the Royal Caribbean Total Eclipse Cruise, which also has onboard ziplines and performances of the musical CATS. This would be more than an appropriate occasion for DNCE to also play "Cake by the Ocean," which recently celebrated the milestone of one billion streams across digital music platforms.
