The president's daughter donned a LBD and sprinkled petals on the ground before bride Esme Brown and groom Peter Cary "PC" Peterson walked down the aisle, Page Six reports. Fans will remember Peterson as one of the teens taking Manhattan by storm in Bravo's NYC Prep.

And Trump's participation in the nuptials wasn't the only thing raising some eyebrows with this news. The nature of Brown and Peterson's relationship had many confused after the below post of the newlyweds hit Instagram. "Unconventional, yet unconditional. Married to my best friend. My soulmate. The person who never turned his back on me and vice versa. We have one life. Free yourself!" Brown captioned a photo of the couple. "P.S. We have never had sex. It’s pure friendship."

That caption caused many to question the legitimacy of the wedding. Peterson clarified that he and Brown did, in fact, tie the knot, but they plan to date other people while still remaining a married couple. "I'd like to set the record straight. Esme and I got married in Las Vegas this weekend. For over ten years we have been discussing this. This was a sober decision that we planned over the weekend. Many of you know that Esme and I have been best friends since we were kids. Was this spur of the moment? Yes. But we have talked about this for ten years. Esme and I have never been romantically involved. We will continue to date others and live our lives," Peterson said in a note on Instagram. "I understand many people will not understand or agree with this, but Esme and I have taken a progressive step towards what we believe marriage should be. I need to be constantly evolving, growing, and progressing. This is something I apply to every part of my life. We did this because we wanted to finalize our commitment to each other as life partners and best friends. Life is short, and I just want to be happy."

Brown echoed Peterson's words in a statement of her own posted on Instagram. "He has always been my soulmate in every sense of the word and we felt mutually that Vegas was the place to finalize our commitment to partnership: a) because we were amongst close friends and b) because we love to have a little bit of a laugh. No, this was not a drunken act on a whim, and no we will not be getting an annulment," Brown wrote in a lengthy post on Instagram following her wedding. "Peter and I are not romantically involved - in fact we are still dating others and will continue to seek love in all forms - we are just each other's hearts and wish to begin our journey towards evolution, because the more we face reality, the more we can see that there is no right or wrong. Many a marriage comes along that is both sexual and supportive... but many don't, and I wish at this point in my life to push for different normals and break the mold that contains us to smaller level thinking."

One person who seemed to be not-so-pleased about the wedding was Instagram star and Trump's friend Andrew Warren, who was celebrating his birthday during the Las Vegas trip before the spontaneous nuptials took place. Famous friends Abigail Breslin, EJ Johnson, and Reya Benitez also took part in the festivities, according to Page Six. “Happy for them even though I think it’s classless to do on someone else’s celebration weekend, and they should’ve come back on their own time," Warren said in a statement to Page Six. “I just wanted to be clear: A lot of people don’t want to be associated, and weren’t there for that purpose. Some people just need attention, though and that’s fine, just don’t try it on my celebration weekend, and not something I want people [to] think I’m a part of right before fashion week with my brand [Just Drew]."

Clearly, Peterson still knows how to get people talking. Relive his time on NYC Prep, below.
