Tinsley Mortimer Offers an Update on Her Wedding Plans to Scott Kluth
The RHONY cast member opens up about marrying the internet CEO.
Tinsley Mortimer is not only days away from the Season 12 premiere of The Real Housewives of New York City, but she's also several months into her engagement to Scott Kluth.
And when she recently spoke to The Daily Dish about their wedding plans, she noted that given the state of the world in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the couple has had to rethink everything.
"We got engaged at the end of November. And, we kind of were like OK, well, we started to talk about different plans and things. And then we were like let’s get through his busiest time with his business through Christmas," she said.
She continued, "So, it was just like OK, we’ll just have to enjoy being engaged. And so that’s what we did. And then we traveled a bit and stuff after Christmas, which was so nice. And we started to talk about some plans. And we know we want to do it small, but then even in January all the stuff, this is when it [was] starting to happen in China with Wuhan and stuff. And we had considered doing something actually in Japan. [That] was kind of one of our first plans."
But, now, the couple is pausing on planning that potential spring or summer wedding, noting that it's "hard to commit to something" at the moment as everyone tries to get a handle on the COVID-19 outbreak."
"So we started to shift off of that plan and then we were talking about other things. And now it’s just difficult. It’s really difficult to try to plan anything, even a couple weeks from now," she said. "You know what I mean?"
Tinsley, however, is looking on the bright side now that the couple has finally committed to this next chapter after several years of an on-again, off-again situation.
"I’m happy that we’re together and we’re healthy and we’re here with our dogs. And so I can’t complain and we want a small wedding, so we’ll be able to, once we know more about what’s going on, we’ll be able to plan it hopefully quickly. And we’re thinking something in the summer, so still. But we, you know, again, we just don’t know," she said.
And Tinsley is totally comfortable keeping the wedding very scaled-back if need be. "Look, if we just even do something at home and it’s just us. We’ll figure it out," she said. "We’re happy being together and we’ll just see."
RHONY returns Thursday, April 2, at 9/8c, and Tinsley's tagline definitely hints at her plans for happily ever after.
