To the surprise of no one who knows BravoCon, day one of BravoCon 2023 on Nov. 3 brought its fair share of emotional moments. Case in point: The “VPR & Vegas” live interview panel featuring Vanderpump Rules' Lisa Vanderpump and Tom Sandoval.

In a wide-reaching session that covered how it feels to be at BravoCon in Las Vegas, Bravolebs they’re excited to meet, and the response of fans when they’re spotted on the streets of Sin City, moderator Michael Rapaport posed a query that made Tom pause and reflect.

The question? “What's your relationship with you and your homeboy, your ride-or-die, Tom Schwartz, today? How are you guys — are you cool?”

Fans of Vanderpump Rules already know that Sandoval and Schwartz's friendship suffered after the events of Season 10. But faced with Rapaport’s request for a status update ahead of Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Sandoval said, “We’re doing really well.”

“Considering, I mean, I definitely put him through a lot," he continued. "You know, [he] got a lot of residual hate just from me, you know what I mean?”

Earlier in the day, at another BravoCon event, Sandoval faced the same subject. “I feel like it’s definitely gotten better," he explained of the friendship. "Obviously, we went through tough times because of me, and he dealt with a lot of residual negativity, and I really appreciate [him] sticking by.”

He shared similar sentiments in the interview alongside Lisa. “And then everything I did, and, you know, I feel like we're stronger than ever,” Sandoval added. “We've always had a resilient friendship and a loving, caring friendship and yeah, we're in a good place.”

Lisa added her own thoughts. “You see the journey on Vanderpump Rules. It wasn't that easy, was it?,” she said, prompting Sandoval to reply, "No, it wasn't. It's definitely the most strain we've ever had on our friendship, for sure.”
