The alums of Bravo’s Top Chef are rallying together for a very important cause.

How to Watch

Watch the Top Chef Season 21 premiere on Wednesday, March 20 at 9/8c on Bravo and next day on Peacock.

On April 28, Top Chef: New York Season 5 winner Hosea Rosenberg shared that his 2-year-old daughter, Sophie, was diagnosed with multicentric carpotarsal osteolysis, or MCTO. Sophie is one of only 30 people in the world who have been identified with MCTO, which is an incredibly rare, progressively crippling life-threatening disease with no treatment or cure.

Hosea and his family have created a non-profit foundation called Sophie’s Neighborhood, to raise awareness and funds for MCTO research. On Sophie’s third birthday, May 30th, the foundation will join together with the Top Chef family to hold the foundation’s inaugural virtual silent auction to work toward the foundation’s goal of $2 million.

The auction will allow participants to bid on virtual experiences, such as cooking lessons from Top Chef chefs including Hosea, Fabio Viviani, Michael Voltaggio, Lee Anne Wong, Joe Sasto, Angelo Sosa, Casey Thompson, Carrie Baird, and others. There is also the opportunity to win a virtual meet and greet with host Gail Simmons. Additionally, the auction has a variety of items up for grabs, featuring all kinds of things from jewelry to food items to sports memorabilia.

To preview the offerings, you can enter the silent auction online or text “Sophie” to 243-725. Bidding runs from 2:01 a.m. EST to 11p.m. EST.

In an April 28 Instagram post, Hosea shared an update on Sophie’s condition.

“Her joints—primarily her wrists and ankles—are failing and will continue to degrade. Her kidneys are at risk,” Hosea wrote, adding that the family remains hopeful. “We have so much support and love from our community, our families, and our friends. We will keep fighting and keep living the best lives we can. We are researching, networking, and making huge strides. There is light. There is love. There is hope.”

“This little warrior princess is all the light and strength I need in my life. She is strong and will be my inspiration forever,” Hosea said.
